Publication Ethics and Publication Malpractice Statement

JACS Directory’s Journal of Environmental Science and Pollution Research - JESPR (ISSN: 2455-0272) is committed to ensuring ethics in publication and quality of articles. The prevention of publication malpractice is one of the important responsibilities of the editorial board. It is necessary to agree upon standards of expected ethical behaviour for all parties involved in the act of publishing: the author, the journal editor, the peer reviewer and the publisher. Editors, authors, and reviewers will also adhere to journal’s submission guideline policies. Our ethic statements are based on COPE’s Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors.

Editors' Responsibilities
Publication decisions
The editor is responsible for deciding which of the papers submitted to the journal will be published. The editor will evaluate manuscripts without regard to the authors' race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy. The decision will be based on the paper’s importance, originality and clarity, and the study’s validity and its relevance to the journal's scope. Current legal requirements regarding libel, copyright infringement, and plagiarism should also be considered.

Confidentiality
The editor and any editorial staff must not disclose any information about a submitted manuscript to anyone other than the corresponding author, reviewers, potential reviewers, other editorial advisers, and the publisher, as appropriate.

Disclosure and conflicts of interest
Unpublished materials disclosed in a submitted paper will not be used by the editor or the members of the editorial board for their own research purposes without the author's explicit written consent.

Duties of Reviewers
Contribution to Editorial Decisions
Peer review assists the editor in making editorial decisions and through the editorial communications with the author may also assist the author in improving the paper.

 Promptness
Any selected referee who feels unqualified to review the research reported in a manuscript or knows that its prompt review will be impossible should notify the editor and excuse himself from the review process.

 Confidentiality
Any manuscripts received for review must be treated as confidential documents. They must not be shown to or discussed with others except as authorized by the editor.

Standards of Objectivity
Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

Acknowledgement of Sources
Reviewers should identify relevant published work that has not been cited by the authors. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument had been previously reported should be accompanied by the relevant citation. A reviewer should also call to the editor's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.

Disclosure and Conflict of Interest
Privileged information or ideas obtained through peer review must be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage. Reviewers should not consider manuscripts in which they have conflicts of interest resulting from competitive, collaborative, or other relationships or connections with any of the authors, companies, or institutions connected to the papers.

For Authors

Reporting Standards
Authors should present an accurate account of their original research as well as an objective discussion of its significance. Manuscripts should follow the submission guidelines of the journal.

Originality
Authors must certify that their work is entirely unique and original, except for review articles. The authors should ensure that, if they have used the words, work of others, this has been appropriately cited or quoted. Multiple, Redundant, or Concurrent Publications: Authors should not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal concurrently. It is also expected that the author should not publish redundant manuscripts or manuscripts describing the same research in more than one journal.

Acknowledgement of Sources
Authors should acknowledge all sources of data used in the research and cite publications that have been influential in the research work.

Authorship of the Paper
Authorship should be limited to those who have made a significant contribution to conception, design, execution or interpretation of the reported study. Others who have made significant contribution must be listed as co-authors. Authors also ensure that all the authors have seen and agreed to the submitted version of the manuscript and their inclusion of names as co-authors.

Data Access and Retention
Authors should provide raw data related to their manuscript for editorial review and must retain such data.

Fundamental Errors in Published Works

Hazards and Human or Animal Subjects

Also, the published articles may be removed if reviewers, readers, librarians, publishers or other subjects noticed a significant errors or plagiarism. Before removing an article, editorial board should talk with authors sufficiently, and should provide enough time to have authors’ explanation. If the article is removed or withdrawn, then it follows: The article in journal database should be removed; The link in online publication site should be removed; The announce will be shown in this article’s online location. Furthermore if the authors found serious errors in their published articles, then they may send updated article to the journal and the same may be updated with the journal after getting editors approval.
