Inclusion complexes of ionic liquid, 1-butyl-2, 3-dimethylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate (BDMImBF4) into cavity of hollow cylinder oligosaccharide, α- and β-cyclodextrins are manifested in aqueous medium. The inclusion phenomenon is confirmed with IR and 1HNMR spectroscopy whereas the stoichiometry of interfacial inclusion is proved with surface tension and conductance measurements. The interaction between cyclodextrin and ionic liquid is characterized by volumetric and viscometric studies.
